Progression: a solo exhibition by Richard Eveleigh. 1st June – 1st July 2009.
Progression is the second solo exhibition by Richard Eveleigh. Richard is a 26 year old Local Artist. He specialises in producing acrylic paintings that employ extreme use of perspective and atmospheric use of light. Progression is a retrospective exhibition and features work produced over the last 10 years. It charts the evolving nature of Richard’s art. During 2003-2008 Richard had a piece of work’ Winterslow Church, on display in the Alamein Suite of Salisbury City Hall. In 2008, Richard held his first solo exhibition at Oxhibitions, entitled Symtomatic, it featured 14 paintings that explored Richard’s ill health. In 2005, at the age of 22, Richard suffered a stroke, however this has not stopped him and he is currently studying towards a fine art degree.
As well as supporting Oxfam, Richard will be donating 25% of the sale price of any sales to ‘braintrust’, a charity devoted to furthering research and treatment of brain cancer.
